After more than a year of wearing just my wedding band, I had my engagement ring and my Mom's eternity band repaired.  My engagement ring was needing new points and I almost lost the stone.  My Mom's ring was another story - I had lost a stone in it and it needed new points on a few stones as well.My fingers are happy! Excuse my dried out winter hands.....

It's been a weird day - rain and clear skies and then hail and a blizzard with inches of snow.  And the temperature fell about 20 degrees.  Gotta love winter here in Ottawa.

I'm in Heaven! I have been using a little HP mini notebook to run my Silhouette die cutter.  It's been a pain.  I can't see the full screen and I'm forever waiting for the software to load.  Andy, quite generously, gave me his old Dell to use.  It's a full size, lighted keyboard.....I LOVE IT!

I think Zipper is feeling better. He's eating again. We were all a little worried even though we kept telling ourselves that he was okay - he was purring, and grooming and drinking and using the litter box.....

Zipper has not been feeling well the last few days.  If you know Zipper, then you know that he came by his 20 lbs honestly as he eats everything in front of him and looks for more.  We've had him on a diet for 2 years now of a scant 1/4 cup of kibble twice a day, and he's only lost 1/2 a pound.  The last few days he hasn't been eating, but he is still his loveable, purry self.

We've had so much snow this past week!  Rachel got stuck 4 times trying to get home from work, which is only 4 blocks away.  Andy had to dig her out and a neighbour helped to get her car into our driveway.

I went for a drive today in Larose Forest and saw this large turtle crossing the road.  I wanted a shot on his level, but didn't check my focus until I got home.  I was disappointed to see that my focus is slightly in front of the turtle.  One more reason to check my shots before I leave!

Happy Mother's Day to my friends!  We spent the day at ComicCon here in Ottawa.  It was a blast!
