I have missed this furry face!  And he's back!

Lucas wanted his own car so we went to see Joe at Mounzer Motors.  He wanted a project car that he could work on over the winter.  As long as the body was good, and the engine and transmission, he could tackle the rest.  We took this 1997 Toyota Tercel (150,000 kms)  in to our mechanic to have him look at it and see what was wrong.  Good news!  We knew it needed brakes and a new battery and tires, but all that Gilles (our mechanic) would find wrong on it was that the wipers needed to be replaced!  So Lucas has a great little car to get around in now, once he gets the work done on it, and gets his G2.

Our Week in Nova Scotia

We took a week and drove to Digby, NS to spend some time with Andy's sister Barb, and her husband Bob.  They were very gracious hosts and we had a fantastic time.  The week was too short, and hopefully they will invite us back next summer!

Well, the proofs were sent to Costco yesterday for the air cadet portraits that I've been working on.  Keep your fingers crossed that the parents are pleased and place orders, as this could turn into a yearly fundraiser with them.  I love the roguish grin on this cadet - he is going to be a ladykiller when he's 17!

It was a gorgeous day here so we headed out to one of the nature trails in the Mer Bleue area east of Ottawa.  We'd heard that the chickadees were very friendly and wanted to see if they were hungry enough to be hand fed.  They were so cute!

I've been playing with studio lighting and Andy has been a most cooperative model for me.  The first batch I tried, there was a huge glare in his glasses.  After some research, I found the best way to light for eyeglasses.  This was the best of the bunch.  What do you think?

Andy was trying to get the van started today with a boost.  Bruno thought he was going for a ride, and wouldn't come out when Andy asked him to.  He just climbed in to the driver's seat.
