Andy's sisters, Barb (and her husband Bob) & Margaret (and her husband Chuck) were in town for a few days, passing through on their way back to Nova Scotia.  We spent a sunny afternoon taking in the sights at the Winterlude Ice Sculptors competition.  And of course, we couldn't leave without a beaver tail!

My photography teacher has us using our hands to meter the light.  Even though I've had my camera on manual for years, it's a new concept.  And it seems to work.

Andy's new job will require him to travel to client sites.  We've spent the last three weekends looking at various cars and it came down to two choices - a 2011 Malibu and this one - a 2012 Ford Fusion SEL.  This one has just about everything you could get, other than the nagivation system.  It is black with black leather interior and has a ton of goodies.

All installed and ready to go!  Notice the little red light on the floor?  It's telling you that it's running.  This dishwasher is so quiet, you can't tell otherwise.  And it's energy star rated, and uses LESS water than washing by hand.  I'm in heaven!

I went to let Bruno out and saw this hawk in our back yard.  Unusual as we are in a surburban area.  He had caught what I thought was a cardinal (from all the red), but judging by the size of the feet in his claws, it looks like a crow.

Andy had started running last fall on our treadmill and once spring was here, he took it outside.  He averages 6-10 kms on a weekday run and has run up to 15 kms. on a weekend run.  Yesterday was his first official 5K at the Fall Colours Run in Ottawa.  He finished in 28.38!
