One from a few years ago.  I'm just back from the Remembrance Day ceremonies in Russell and do have photos on my camera, but no time to get them on to here!

Andy had started running last fall on our treadmill and once spring was here, he took it outside.  He averages 6-10 kms on a weekday run and has run up to 15 kms. on a weekend run.  Yesterday was his first official 5K at the Fall Colours Run in Ottawa.  He finished in 28.38!

I have missed this furry face!  And he's back!

Lucas wanted his own car so we went to see Joe at Mounzer Motors.  He wanted a project car that he could work on over the winter.  As long as the body was good, and the engine and transmission, he could tackle the rest.  We took this 1997 Toyota Tercel (150,000 kms)  in to our mechanic to have him look at it and see what was wrong.  Good news!  We knew it needed brakes and a new battery and tires, but all that Gilles (our mechanic) would find wrong on it was that the wipers needed to be replaced!  So Lucas has a great little car to get around in now, once he gets the work done on it, and gets his G2.

Our Week in Nova Scotia

We took a week and drove to Digby, NS to spend some time with Andy's sister Barb, and her husband Bob.  They were very gracious hosts and we had a fantastic time.  The week was too short, and hopefully they will invite us back next summer!

I don't see Cedar Waxwings very often (in fact this is second time in my life that I have seen these birds).  I looked out my kitchen window and there was a large flock in my neighbour's apple tree picking off the blossoms.
